Science and Mathematics

Ged has been working at AMG since 1999. He teaches general Science to 13+ level, Chemistry to IGCSE/GCSE level, and Biology to A2 and IB Diploma level. He has a BSc Hons degree in Physiology and a PhD in neurophysiology.  He has a solid reputation for good teaching and a tremendous breadth of knowledge.  He has a following in HK, as his students gain excellent results.  He is a ‘tough’ tutor but has a quiet sense of humour that goes down well with his students. 

Peter joined AMG from the UK last year, having taught Chemistry to A Level and to IB with Torquay Boys’ Grammar School for 15 years.  He has also taught Chemistry and Physics to both GCSE and IGCSE and handled the KS3 Science delivery for the science department.  He is an adept and interesting teacher, grounding his teaching in real-life examples and creating interest through application.

Jeff has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics (with Mathematics) from HKUST.  At HKAL he gained an A in applied Mathematics.  He has been tutoring with AMG since October 2007, has a firm grasp of the syllabuses used in both HK and UK schools for both his main subjects, and is a calm and methodical tutor. Jeff is able to teach in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, which can be useful for explanation, although to date, the majority of his tutoring has been conducted in English. He has been a very popular tutor across the years, and his love of teaching really shows in his dedication to his students.
